Frequently Asked Questions
1. What types of issues do you help with?
I specialize in working with people who carry complex trauma, attachment wounds, chronic shame, anxiety, and emotional disconnection. If you tend to live in your head, overthink, or struggle to connect with your feelings, you’re in the right place. My work supports healing from trauma, nervous system dysregulation, and deep emotional struggles.
2. What therapy approaches do you use?
I use a blend of evidence-based therapies, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Memory Reconsolidation, and Coherence Therapy. These body-centered and parts-based methods help you reconnect with your emotions and nervous system in a safe, paced way.
3. How do I know if therapy will help me?
Therapy is a process, and results vary for everyone. If you’re ready to slow down, explore your experience without judgment, and work toward feeling safer in your body and emotions, therapy can be very helpful. My role is to provide steady support tailored to your unique story.
4. How long does therapy usually take?
Healing doesn’t follow a set timeline. Some people notice changes in a few sessions, while others take months or longer to feel significant shifts. We’ll move at a pace that honors your nervous system and your needs.
5. What can I expect in a first session?
The first session is a chance to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you have. It’s a space for you to ask questions too, and for me to explain how I work.
6. Do you offer telehealth or in-person sessions?
I offer both telehealth (video) and in-person sessions in Kalispell, Montana. We can decide together what feels safest and most comfortable for you.
7. How do you maintain confidentiality?
Your privacy is important to me. Everything you share in therapy is confidential, with very few exceptions required by law. We’ll review confidentiality and limits during our first session.
8. How do I get started?
You can reach out via the contact page or call the office to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. This is a no-pressure conversation to see if we might be a good fit.
